its official...

since spring has officially sprung, i guess i have to come up with an alternative to brims and beanies. ive been on a jewelry kick throughout the winter (what little bit of winter we had) so i guess ill have to hard or go home!!
time to break out the hemp and hoops, wire and beads! thinking about working on a few purses as well...i guess ill just play it by ear.
this is a good season to try some of those cool patterns the Double Stitch Twins have to offer..or work on more Doily Top Cover Ups by Guchet.
actually i made one not long ago...and i finally got my "model" to display it for me (its hard getting her to try stuff on and pose for the camera, but no problem for her to try it on and take it home!).

New poncho...

Im sooo loving the ponchos. Ive gotten rave reviews on the last one...
So...im on a roll!! I still have to complete the black/ royal blue one...but ive started on a "shades of brown" poncho and this one may have a hard time making out the house (in the hands of another). Brown is my color!!!! Dont get me wrong...i adore orange, purple (even tho i wont wear it...IT MAKES ME LOOK LIKE BARNEY!)..but brown is an all time fave.

The sigh of relief..

Aaaahhhhh..the BHM marketplace has come and gone...halleluYah! Now i see what the hubby goes through when hes ignoring the family to produce art for show/arts & craft fairs...sheesh! The prep, travel, setting up, breaking down can drive a person insane. I help set his stuff up, help break down..but today we had the baby so he wasnt able to assist me...no fun!
It turned out fairly nice...i dont know if i can get used to the road show, though.

I am up to my neck in yarn! The marketplace is this saturday and im trying to fill orders and make a variety of items. From headbands and earrings to hats and make-up purses...IVE MADE IT!!! havent taken pix..still havent finalized them all..
Global Warmth is friday and id like to be there to support my husband and groove to the tunes my brother (nd comrades) will lay out but i have to finish this stuff......ARRGGHHH

thanx to the hubby, i finally have a new logo. ok, its not really new...i lost the last one in the great computer crash of 2011...its very similar to it..

Ok, i know im a little late, but it took me a minute to fine tune them. I had created quite a few pair at the same time, but didnt add hooks and bind off excess thread as i went along...
Plus, as ive stated previously, im working on multiple projects for a BHM marketplace...thanx for hanging in there!

Busy bee...

Ive been working on all sorts of stuff to prepare myself for a marketplace in honor of Black History Month at my job. So far, i have 2 ponchos in the making and a few pairs of earrings...i havent gotten around to the hats. I guess ill get started on those this week.
Im elated that my hubby put the finishing touches on the mural which has consumed a large portion of his time for the past 2 months...now i guess he can find time to create my logo ;o)
